From a Dad

What works about these events is they are for dads and sons with all levels of interest in Airsoft MilSim.  My son lives and breathes this stuff, and it brings us closer together because we like history, we like getting outside, and we like shooting, and being shot at, with no lasting results!  This is great stuff, and legit head to toe as a living history lesson and great time together for fathers and sons or, for that matter, fathers and daughters.

A 1965 film that used captured film to show Viet Cong activity. There are a lot of good images of what VC fighters wore and the weapons they used early in the conflict.

To the staff of the Vietnam AirSoft Group,

Dear sirs, My son and I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know what an great time we had at last year's (In Country) Vietnam AirSoft event.

As we are new to the Vietnam AirSoft experience we didn't know what to expect but we found everyone very helpful and friendly and willing to share their knowledge and experience.  The historical value in these events are priceless for both me and my 14 year old son we look forward to attending the next event.

HMSG Individual Ranks and Training

Military rank goes back the Roman Legions and beyond. We use a ranks structure at HMSG events for a number of reasons. First, from a historical standpoint we strive to represent the units and individuals form the period as authentically. Second we use rank to signify the leaders in at our events. You don’t just show and you’re in charge of a platoon. You have to undergo evaluation and prove yourself in difficult situations. Don’t worry – we provide lots of support along the way.

HMSG Personnel File: 5 Cool Features

In this short article we introduce you to the HMSG Personnel File and 3 cool features it provides. So what is a personnel file anyways. Basically it is the official record that a military service keeps for each on of its soldiers. We have developed a electronic version for our members. Just like a video game or live action role playing character you build your start by choosing some basic information and then profile up over time after you gain experience.
