The Ben Het / Firebase Toledo AO consists of 60+ acres of heavily forested terrain simulating the central highlands of Vietnam. The AO is situated in a valley, with two ridgeways closeting in a valley floor, which has two creeks running through it. The 9th NVA Regiment uses the Ben Het area as a heavily defended base of supply and, until recently, as a rest area. Firebase Toledo has recently been re-occupied by 1st Bn, 501st Inf. Reg., 1st Brigade (Seperate) 101st Airborne Div. and offers full 360 degrees defenses and protection.
